Studio Upstairs is a collective of artists working together within a therapeutic
framework and it is celebrating its 20th Anniversary with a major exhibition of
paintings, drawings and sculptures linking over 50 artists, at the Candid Arts
Gallery at the Angel Islington 26 – 28 September 08.
The exhibition Public Hanging will showcase over 50 artists from Studio Upstairs London.
Framing for this exhibition has been organised by Community Views.

In June, we held our first exhibition at the Dreamspace Gallery, London, to raise awareness of the work we do to combat the stigma associated with mental health disabilities. The exhibition presented a selection of works from well known and emerging Artists.
The exhibition, aptly named ‘Exchanging Expressions’, was based on the concept of using contemporary art and design as a vehicle for creative expression, and to challenge the stigma surrounding mental health disability. A percentage of all sale proceeds went towards supporting St James’s House in their continued work.
